A physician from Barzilai Medical center was rewarded by IDF Chief of Staff

Barzilai Medical Center is honored and proud that one of us, Dr. Yuri Manuskin who serves as Head of the Trauma Unit, was among the recipients of the medal from IDF Chief of Staff in a ceremony held on 04.29.2013.                               
Dr. Manuskin, a surgeon by profession, serves as a physician in active duty service operation at the Reserve Air Force Rescue Unit many days during the year.

During Operation "Pillar of Defense" he was drafted to the reserves forces and refused to any actions we might perform in order to release him due to hospital needs.
We congratulate Yuri his actions symbolizes the spirit of a combat army doctor.
