The Neonatal and Premature Baby ward at the Barzilai Medical Center received a donation from the Huston Jewish Federation that purchased an advanced monitoring device that will allow to monitor the concentration of carbon dioxide in the blood of premature babies without having to puncture the skin of the baby in order to get an indication of the carbon dioxide level in the blood.

July 21st, 2014 - Following Operation Protective Edge, many distinguished persons visited the Barzilai Medical Center including ministers and Kenesset members. They stopped by the fortified site where the emergency department has been moved and visited the hospitalized wounded soldiers and civilians. They strengthened the staff and the injured and wished them rapid recovery.
