Activity                             

The laboratory serves the medical team by affording them the results of bacterial, parasitic and fungal organisms. Cultures from every infected site or suspected to be infected are performed using different media, solid or liquid, and diagnosed using direct microscopic inspection and automatic methods. The staff uses a wide range of stains to define the specific organism that causes the disease. Moreover, the staff uses also molecular methods such as real time PCR to diagnose the pathogens, especially mycobacterium tuberculosis.
