Selected Aspects of Nursing Care for the Oncological Patient, during Hospitalization and in the Community.
A symposium took place at the Medical Center on the topic of “Selected Aspects of Nursing Care for the Oncological Patient, both during Hospitalization and in the Community”, at the initiative of Nurse Racheli Huri and Eti Guata Charge Nurse of Internal Department C.
The symposium included lectures on diverse topics for promotion of quality care in nursing care management of oncological patients, selected aspects of the Dying Patient Law, nutritional support for the oncological patient, representative Hypercalcemia emergency situation in Oncology, and the roles of the nurse in bone marrow tests.
Lectures were given by professionals in various fields: Dr. Osana Noam, Head of the Oncology Institute, Ms. Chani Kauper, senior Social Worker at the Institute, Ms. Chana Talisnik Halimi, nutritionist at the Oncology Institute, Ms. Huri Racheli, Oncology Nurse and Ms. Yona Tiktuk, Charge Nurse of the Hemato-Oncology Institute.
Attendance at the symposium was impressive with the participation of members of the hospital staff and from the outside: Doctors, nurses, nursing students, nutritionists, physiotherapists, as well as nurses from the community.
