The Wexner Foundation is a charitable organization designed to enhance Jewish and Israeli leadership founded by Leslie Wexner, CEO of Limited Brands and his wife, Abigail Wexner on 1984. Leslie and Abigail Wexner developed the foundation to promote Jewish leadership around the world and specifically strengthen Jewish leadership in North America and Israel. The foundation’s goal was to help Jewish professionals, volunteers, and Israeli public officials strengthen Jewish communities. Many alumni of the Wexner Foundation's core leadership programs are successful and influential leaders in Israeli public and in the Jewish communities.
The Wexner Foundation consists of three core leadership programs designed to enhance Jewish and Israeli leadership.
The Wexner Israel Fellowship Program was created in 1989. It is a partnership between the Wexner Foundation and Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. The goal of this program is “to provide Israel's next generation of public leaders with advanced training in public management and leadership development, thus enhancing the quality of democracy and the institutional vitality of Israel's public sector".
The Wexner Israel Fellowship Program annually selects up to 10 Israeli public officials and/or nonprofit leaders to participate in leadership seminars while they pursue a mid-career Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree at the Kennedy School. Wexner Israel Fellows commit themselves to at least three years of continued service in the Israeli public sector following the completion of the program. Currently there are about 200 Israeli alumni. Distinguished alumni are currently found in all aspects of Israeli public life, many holding major leadership positions in a wide cross-section of government ministries, government authorities, government companies, municipalities and local authorities, hospitals, HMO's and NGO's (non-governmental organizations).

The Wexner Israel Fellowship Program performs an annual three-day seminar devoted to exploring leadership issues in public service. All Israeli alumni participate in the seminar (as for today more than 200) and once in three years alumni of the American program.
Through this year seminar a mixed group of senior managers in the Israeli public administration service and leaders from Jewish communities in the U.S. and Canada visited Barzilai Medical Center.
During their visit, Dr. Ron Lobel Deputy Director of the Barzilai Medical Center and a program graduate himself lectured them about the ways the medical center is coping with emergencies and at the end they toured the medical center and manage to enjoy the splendid view of the sea from the hospital vantage point.
Finally toured the medical center and were spectacular view overlooking the sea view from the observation in the hospital.
The visit left a strong impression on the guests, who thanked their host Dr. Ron Lobel and management of the medical center on the perfect visit.
