Fatal road accident near Kibbutz Gat between a minibus that broke the railway crossing barrier and collided with a passenger train, ended with the death of seven people and about twenty wounded. Four casualties were evacuated to Barzilai Medical Center.

On Thursday 08/05/2010 a train clash occurred near Kibbutz Gat between a minibus that crossed the railway crossing barrier and did not stop. As a result of the fatal accident seven people were killed and about twenty were wounded. Three mildly wounded people and one moderately injured were evacuated to Barzilai Medical Center for medical treatment.
